Commerce and agronomy platforms, built from scratch
The challenge
A market-leading North American crop-input distributor serves growers and business customers across two countries. Its digital estate had fallen behind: a legacy website, an abandoned e-commerce attempt from a previous vendor, and an aging grower tool that could not keep up with how the business works today.
Our approach
We stabilized first, moving the legacy site onto modern cloud infrastructure so nothing broke while we built its replacement.
We then designed and built two platforms from scratch: a B2B commerce platform for account-based ordering, and an agronomy platform that growers use to configure greenhouse feeding programs, calculate nutrient recipes and place orders that flow straight into the ERP.
Where our experience mattered
- Designed both platforms end to end, from requirements to user experience
- Architected a scalable cloud platform with deep ERP integration
- Delivered on our SDLC with full traceability from requirement to release
- Worked through complex agronomy and ordering rules with client experts
- Rolled out enterprise single sign-on across both platforms
Outcome
Two production platforms and a multi-year partnership that keeps them evolving.
